Update: 21 November 2025

Over the past few days, our engineers have integrated the mast onto the network. The mast is now on-air restoring full service to Market Harborough.

We will continue to monitor the performance in the area.

Update: 11 November 2025

Over the past month, our engineers have installed the transmission needed for the new mast and will start integrating the mast onto the network in the next few weeks. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the mast to be on-air by the end of November.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 10 October 2025

Over the past few weeks, our engineers have completed building the equipment needed for the new mast. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect the transmission to be installed by the beginning of November. Once the transmission has been installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the replacement mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We are in the process of replacing a mast in the Market Harborough area as the current lease has expired.

A replacement site location has been found and we’re in the process of building the mast. However, due to some unforeseen complications, it is not yet live.

We'll update this post once we have more information.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience. In the meantime, you might be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts.

Yes, my signal level also shows only a couple of bars yet the speeds are excellent. I wonder why that is? I remember being on Three and bragging to a mate about how my phone showed five bars on Three - he suggested I do a speed test and I found I was only getting around 1Mbps download and 0.5Mbps upload. It seems there is little correlation between the number of bars showing and the actual speed you're getting.

No surprises there.

The on-screen bars are a (very rough) guide to signal strength, with numerous factors & measurements accounted for. They're not a measure of the capacity/spectrum available.

You can easily have poor speeds with full-bars, if those radio carriers are congested. Equally excellent speeds in poor coverage, if there's large amounts of capacity available. "Chasing the bars" is never a measure of service quality.

This issue hasn’t been resolved. I spoke with Gerraint in the Wales call centre to raise a complaint about how this has been ongoing since around October in the LE16 postcode area.
I was told that this issue was being addressed this week. Has it been resolved yet??

What is the problem you have? I'm getting great service all around Harborough and out in the sticks.
