Update: 21 November 2025

Over the past few days, our engineers have integrated the mast onto the network. The mast is now on-air restoring full service to Market Harborough.

We will continue to monitor the performance in the area.

Update: 11 November 2025

Over the past month, our engineers have installed the transmission needed for the new mast and will start integrating the mast onto the network in the next few weeks. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the mast to be on-air by the end of November.

We will keep you updated on this post.

Update: 10 October 2025

Over the past few weeks, our engineers have completed building the equipment needed for the new mast. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect the transmission to be installed by the beginning of November. Once the transmission has been installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the replacement mast.

We will keep you updated on this post.

We are in the process of replacing a mast in the Market Harborough area as the current lease has expired.

A replacement site location has been found and we’re in the process of building the mast. However, due to some unforeseen complications, it is not yet live.

We'll update this post once we have more information.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience. In the meantime, you might be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts.

It will depend on where you are in the town centre if you are around the Square and upto around Hotel Chocolat you should connect to the new mast anything further will be coming from the Police office one. Also anything around Lidl and train station will be fed from Rockingham Road mast

Hi there @Chris2911

Thanks for coming to the community.

The mast is now on-air, if you're experiencing service issues in the area please check our Service Status Checker for any reported problems and if nothing is showing you can report this to our network team to be looked into.

Leanne.

The service checker is still showing that there is an issue!

Hi @MammaE

If the service status checker shows reported problems in the area, you can register for updates with the email address or mobile number and you will be notified with any updates.

Leanne.

As stated in my post, the service checker is saying there is still an issue. Your reply says the mast is now on air. Which is correct ?

Hi @Chris2911

The replacement mast that was needed to restore service as the lease expired for the existing mast, went on-air in November 2025.

If you're experiencing issues after the replacement mast went on-air and this has been reported on the service status checker, our engineers will be getting this looked into. If you register for updates the network team will keep you updated.

Leanne.

Since the mast went live in November I've been getting impressive speeds on EE. There has been no degradation in service since then. I live just off Northampton Road. Are you in that area of Market Harborough? If not, maybe your phone is using a different mast? Just before Christmas I got a download speed of 1,200Mbps and 75.8Mbps upload (outside). A few days ago  I got 585Mps download and 32Mbps upload (inside). I'm not complaining! Do a speed test inside and outside your house and report back. Use the official Speedtest app. If your figures are less than this you may be on an 'essential' contract where the speed is capped to 100Mbps.

Thanks for that. I have just checked and am getting decent speeds on the southern estate - despite the fact that the signal level on my phone is only showing 1 bar. This only rises to 2 bars when I’m waiting at the traffic lights in sight of the mast - however I did notice today that it did rise to full signal once I had passed the mast and heading towards town with the mast behind me.
If it’s now working normally, that’s really good news - EE just need to update the signal issue status to say no problems - as it is contradictory and confusing.
