Update: 21 November 2023
Over the past few weeks, our engineers have completed integrating the mast onto the network and full service has been restored to the Harraby/Garlands area.
We will continue to monitor performance in the area.
Update: 04 October 2023
Over the past few months, our engineers have been working with the fibre provider to arrange a date for the leased line to be installed. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect the leased line to be installed by the end of November. Once the leased line has been installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.
We will keep you updated on this post.
We are aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Harraby/Garlands area of Carlisle. Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in July 2023, as this was requested by the landowner.
Our engineers began looking for a new location as soon as we were made aware our equipment had to be removed, and we have located a new area. We have completed building the equipment needed for the new mast and are working with the fibre provider to install a leased line to provide power to the mast, with the estimated lead time for the leased line installation being 3 months. Once we have a date for the leased line to be installed, we can confirm an approximate on-air date for the new mast.
We will keep you updated on this post.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.

Are there any updates on when this should be completed. Really don't want to cancel with EE but it's being going on too long now and it's extremely frustrating to be paying for something I'm not getting the full use of.

If you look through the previous enquiries for an update EE have not replied since August. Very poor because they were going to keep us well imformed to what the state of play with the mast which had been erected for the past 10 weeks and when you drive by no one working on there. EE keep patting themselves on the back for been voted best provider for the past 10 years but on customer service its got to be voted very poorly. So come on EE give us some good news.

The mast in this location was based upon a church, and has been there for some tens of years. The issue was the mast was struggling, for most of the time in recent years it had an ADSL line, with the dense area it was covering and the top of the church roof was not suitable to install 5G equipment due to the weight, size and planning issues etc.
The lease was coming to renewal but business terms, why renew when it is not fit for the bigger business plans. A new 5G mast was erected in March time, 2023 on the junction of Eastern Way, EE only mast, with no H3G involvement.
Since then the mast has sat powered off, with no works ongoing until removal of the last 4G mast, someone realised that BT have not installed a fibre connection and the request was put in.
These are the true facts that customers want to hear.
I left to go to Three.

There is no radio equipment that is "G" or technology-specific, it is band specific. Nokia radio modules support 2G, 4G or 5G technologies that an operator deploys on a particular band.
Equally the structures themselves are not technology-specific, there's no such thing as a "5G mast" or a "4G mast", there are EE sites that carry multiple technologies across multiple spectrum bands.

Hi Leanne_T why no updates?? It would appear the transmitter was removed from the church tower and placed on the junction of Arnside Road and Eastern way. I saw cabling being run to the cabinets about 3 weeks ago. But it's still not operational

I'd just cancel your direct debit.
It's probably the only way you'll manage to speak to someone.
I've cancelled mine coz it's impossible to get hold of anyone.
It's an absolute joke.

Wow.
I have never been ignored for over a month on a forum yet !!
Can ANY Admin or Moderator of this forum start to explain this situation NOW..
This really is pathetic. That everyone on here is asking the same question and none of us are getting an answer.
From being the best signal out of all the networks to " Emergency use only " - Seriously.
