Whenever I’m in Canary Wharf (around water street) I seem to get 0 bars or 1 bars max of service on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Why is the service so bad in these areas? I can’t even make a clear phone call or use my data.

Do other EE users have similar problems in this location? Is this a recent problem?

I done some research in the EE general chat forum and did see a couple people complaining about bad service in the London Canary Wharf area in 2023 so the problem isn’t recent and it’s not just me. The coverage in this area is just appalling.

Unsure what the specific forum you refer to is, but the nature of support fora is that people tend to post wanting help with problems. You tend not to get posts thanking an MNO for good service.
I've heard reports of good & bad coverage on various networks in parts of Canary Wharf, hence querying for further specifics.

Apologies I’m new to this site so not sure of the specific forum name but the chat link is here: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Mobile-Network-discussions/4G-5G-connection-has-been-terrible/td-p/122...
I’m just wondering if this is an issue EE would actually address or if I’d have to switch providers as I can’t live in a place with no service 😭
some parts tend to have better service than others but I’m talking about specifically around water street (e14 9qg) where I can’t even use my data.

A lot of the networks are bad round E14 area. Too many high rise flats blocking signal, too many people, and the infrastructure can't cope and networks haven't added extra capacity for the thousands of new flats that have been built, and in some cases, masts have been removed as the building was demolished or turned into more expensive flats like the Northern and Shell tower,
I find on another network I'm often standing outside Amazon Fresh trying to get signal for my phone to let me in to shop. Moving networks won't always fix things.

Yeah I’ll be outside Amazon fresh for 5 minutes waiting for my entry code lol.
thank you for clearing that up didn’t know that would have an impact on my signal but seems to make sense.
