Can we apply to have mast installed on own land?

Hi. We are a charity in Scotland. We have a very poor phone signal but we have land. Can we apply to have a mobile phone mast installed on our own land? Thanks.

Having a new network site installed isn't something you apply for, but EE can take some details from you and pass them onto the network planning areas.

Planning & legal contents are two of the main requirements if your land was to be used, also various technical requirements such as access & electricity supply.

Out of interest, where in Scotland are you? It's a big place.

Hi James

We are in an area of poor  coverage and have a mast (ex wind turbine mast ) already on our land. How do we look into having EE use this mast for better coverage in our area?

The use of that structure for EE equipment would rely on a few factors being in-place. Structural clearance & planning consent would be the obvious two.

Access to any new antennas would require external climbing access, which I suspect a wind turbine tower won't have.
