Hi,
Wanting to find out how a small business would go about appyling to have a phone mast installed on private land?

As per previous posts in this thread, there's no "application" process as such for a new radio site install, but a network firstly has to decide that a particular location merits a new site.
Once that's done, there's a feasibility process to establish potential locations - which includes numerous considerations. An interested landlord is one of those.
One of the more common issues is the local authority planning system, new sites usually require full planning consent and local opposition is all too frequent.

What can be done to trigger an investigation into need? Does each network provider do their own thing so I need to contact each one separately or is there some degree of infrastructure sharing?

Nothing pretty much, they have zero way to feed back other than getting everyone you know to keep ringing up to complain, they'll just suggested using WiFi, bit hard if I have an accident in a field or out walking and can't use my phone!.
They don't monitor failed calls or anything like that which is equally infuriating. They'll say oh its network driven and similar empty platitudes, plonk a new housing estate and they'll scramble around.
I suggested ages back to have a register, but no they want you to pay a company to put yourself on a map just incase they in the mood.

There is an element of site-sharing, such as under the SRN project - but ultimately each network operator is separate and has its own equipment.
There is proactive monitoring of numerous parameters such as dropped call levels, also the myEE app has an option to log areas of poor coverage for reporting purposes.

When EE choose to search for a new site location in a given area, there's an initial process of finding suitable locations based on numerous criteria. An interested landlord is one of those criteria, and if a particular location is chosen, then a full legal lease agreement with that landlord is required before the site is progressed.

We are a small football club in Mickleover Derby who have land that could be suitable for a mobile phone mast - there are 3000 new properties nearby who we know experience a problem with EE signal.
how do we go about offering to have a mast installed
