We have a mobile catering unit and at busy events the 4g data disappears meaning we can’t collect card payments as our SumUp card machine is run through the mobile data.
We ordered a 4gee WiFi mini thinking this would increase our speeds by connecting the card machine to it but it is significantly slower and sometimes drops out altogether but connect it back to phone 4g it works.
Does anyone have ideas?

I'm not quite following a few things about your setup here, which may help advise.. What do you mean by "4G data disappears"? Is mobile coverage still displayed?
I presume the card unit has an inbuilt EE-SIM/modem?
When you say "connect back to phone 4G" do you mean tethering the card unit by WiFi/Bluetooth? Or using mobile data on a phone itself?

Hiya, sorry I will explain the card set up better, I could confuse a saint!! Lol!
the SumUp card machine connects to either your mobile phones 4g or 5g via Bluetooth or to the 4gee mini via WiFi.
At busy events the card machine stops working and you get the message, waiting, waiting… There are so many people there on their Instagram and facebook there is no 4g data available.
I used the mini WiFi this weekend in a good signal area, it wasn’t a busy event but wanted to check out the mini WiFi. At one point I tried to take a payment and I got waiting, waiting…. So I quickly disconnected from the mini and connected the card nschine just to my mobile phone and the payment went through straight away.
I wonder if I have the wrong product?

Hi @Chelbb,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Was it the very first time you tried to use your 4GEE router or had it been working up until that point?

Hi it was the first time I had ever used it. I made sure it was 100% charged first

Hi @Chelbb,
That's good, it sounds like you're device is setup correctly. It could have just been a one off network issue. Please let us know if it works next time you get an opportunity to test it with your payment device.
Thanks
James
