EE's only involvement here is to provide your phone with a mobile data connection.

With WiFi switched off, are you able to use other internet-based functions on your phone?

So you mean turn off the Wi-Fi and just leave my phone on mobile services To check ?

WhatsApp is an internet-app, which uses an internet connection to operate. That internet connection can either be mobile data via the mobile network, or WiFi - which then uses the underlying broadband connection.

Regardless of which you're using, is your phone able to use other internet-based services? This is a test of whether the internet connection is working, and any other queries would need to be directed at WhatsApp.

EE's involvement here is that they provide the mobile internet connection if you're not using WiFi. If you are using WiFi, you are not using EE's network at all.

My Wi-Fi is EE  I’ve two they gave me a 5G one when the other goes down

Isn’t it too late now tho as it was Thursday when I was sent it but didn’t open the notification till Friday.

FYI you have a short time after posting to edit your post, to negate the need for multiple short replies.

EE fixed-line broadband uses different technology to EE's mobile network, but what matters for your question is whether your phone has a working internet connection - does it?

Can you... browse the internet? Send & receive emails? Use other internet-based apps? If you can - then EE's involvement in providing your phone with an internet connection is complete.

I’ve tried apple i have tried WhatsApp here’s what WhatsApp says but  I did the iCloud back up and nothing changed so I reset my phone. ?

Hi,

Thanks for your message.

It looks like there was an error with your iCloud backup. It's not possible to restore it at this time. Please create a new iCloud backup using a reliable Internet connection and then attempt to restore again.

*Note*: If your new backup doesn't contain the chat history you're trying to recover, you won't be able to retrieve the chat history with iCloud. You might still be able to recover the lost data by restoring from a previous computer backup.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We'll be happy to help!

Obviously it wasn’t working when the WhatsApp came in but the internet is working as I have tv through the internet.

Good morning @Sazyb123

Thanks for stopping by the Community 😊

I can see you mentioned the other person hasn't been online for a few days.
On their help pages about this message, WhatsApp mention this can often happen if the sender has been offline in the time since the message was received at your end.

It can also be worth checking you're both all up to date too.
