Hi all,

Just moved to EE from BT Mobile. I use one site a lot, which the Camra site (Camra.org.uk and whatpub.com) to score my real ales and check out nearby pubs. All of a sudden, when fine under BT, it is blocked with EE due to this unsupported protocols. If I log in to wifi, it the pages up perfectly fine. It is doing my head in, as I use the page a lot - any ideas on how to resolve this?

Many thanks

Do you know where the content lock would be to unlock it?

Content lock would be for Mobile rather than Wifi.

Wifi has something similar called parental control

I would also suggest traying to access another site which would be age restricted (ie a gambling site) to see if you have the same issue. If you are able to access other age restricted sites, it would rule out parental control

Are you on contract or PAYG?

  • On Contract: Follow Switching Content Lock OFF or ON .
  • On PAYG: You can't control Content Lock from your MyEE. Instead you need to call EE with a credit card handy & pay a refundable token amount to prove you are over 18. Alternatively you can visit an EE store with some photo ID.

Looks like I’ve sorted my issue with getting onto the camra website … I couldn’t get on to Green king today to order lunch with the exact same problem (and just with the ann summers website).

my account had a parental setting for teenagers… I’ve upped it to adults and now all fine!

I can now order in the pub and get onto the camra website!

I  assuming there has been an update recently that changed the setting as I had no issues until a few weeks ago.
it’s amazing now!

The timing of it seems to coincide with the online safety act coming in, having spoken to a few people with the same issue with alcohol related sites.
