If this problem is specific to one location, then it's likely due to a single site issue affecting that one location. And in which case, network faults happen on all networks from time-to-time.
In many cases, and especially in urban locations, there's usually overlapping coverage available from neighbouring sites such that the loss-of-service isn't always noticeable. Does the web status tool show a recognised fault currently?
