Total free data - unlimited. Can someone clarify what this is?

I have a monthly allowance of 5Gb. I have recently noticed that on looking at my plan, it states, 'Total free data - unlimited'. What exactly does this mean, is my allowance now redundant?

Its unlimited Stay Connected data that you get when your run out of your plan data but you run at a v. slow speed.

Can you clarify, 'very slow speed'? Is it enough to watch a YouTube at the lowest quality setting?
