I went to bed last night with my data off and when I woke up I got two messages from EE, saying I used 80% of my data and then 100%. I am confused as why this happened as I was connected to Wi-Fi the whole time and my phone never disconnected. My phone was also on the Lock Screen the entire time so I don’t know why my data ran out.

Does your device show what has used the most data in the last 24 hours within the mobile data settings?

I am using an iPhone XR and it doesn’t show my data usage in the last 24 hours

Did you turn off Mobile Data in your iPhone settings overnight?  

Do you have WiFi Assist turned on? Please see the About Wi-Fi Assist - Apple Support page for information on WiFi Assist and how to check if this is set up.

Yes I did have it off in the iPhone settings and no I do not have Wi-Fi assist .
