Mobile data not working after Oxygen OS 13 update

Hi,

I recently came back to the UK after 3 weeks in India, now my mobile data is working intermittently. I have to switch off and switch mobile data to receive emails, make or receive Whatsapp calls. Everything works perfectly fine when on WiFi. I have factory reset my phone and put in a new replacement sim but no change. Before I went overseas I could hotspot two or three devices and make Whatsapp calls. My OnePlus 10 pro phone was updated to Oxygen OS 13 while I was abroad and by default it has switched to 5G, not sure if the problem is that my EE SIM card is not compatible with 5G? can someone pls help.

@Vikred  try switching off 5G on the device.  

you need to contact Oneplus about this as it’s their update that caused this. 

Thanks Chris8, I did try that through developer options but the 4G
speedtest was slower than when I was on 5G which was about 15mbps. Is it
possible that my sim card is throttled down for some reason?
Also, when I turn off mobile data for a couple of seconds and turn it back
on, everything works for a very short period of time. On wifi everything
works perfectly. I've also switched on the option 'mobile data always
active' but no change.

OnePlus had ask me to factory reset and said that should set things right
and so I did that. I also replaced the sim and checked APN settings,
everything is good with that. Just not getting the speeds and can't hotspot
they way I used to before I travelled abroad.

A desperate situation and I'll try any suggestions pls

Are you able to try the SIM card in another phone to see if the same happens?
