EE app down for maintenance again

Hello

The app is down for maintenance until I cannot give some data to my Daughter.

As it’s nearly 1 am, when I called 150 I found it was closed So they couldn’t manually gift Data for me.

Not exactly ideal Not to be able to gift Data if the app is down.

Any thoughts?

Why does essential maintenance require you to take the app service offline?  I’m a software engineer for a major bank… if we did that with our online banking app, we’d be on the national news.  We run software in clusters with multiple nodes so we can do a “rolling upgrade” seamlessly behind the load balancer.  We’ve been doing this for nearly 2 decades, and I’m staggered you haven’t invested in providing a similar service for your customers.

The app has gone down for maintenance at 10pm this is happening way too often. And always at the time I need to turn off the kids wifi   It is ridiculous this should be done after midnight not prime time evening
