What an idiotic reply. I can't quantify the value of being able to send and receive email but I do regard email as a basic business tool, which I can't use because of this. That's kind of a problem for EE "business" customers.

Change your DNS to googles as a workaround 8.8.8.8
This will bring back all of your emails

Alternatively you can use a VPN
