Hello,
I've had a message from 1122 to say I can get double data as I'm also a BT broadband member. It says if I reply with the word DOUBLE it will be added.
When I replied to the message it then says it'll charge me to send. Is this just a standard network rate message and can it be trusted?
Thanks

Hi I have BT broadband and am with EE and got message 1122 to say eligible for Double data but when I sent message to 150 I got this reply Sorry, you aren't eligible for double data as you have no BT broadband product associated with this mobile number. The Broadband is connected to landline so does that not apply

Hi @PATRICIA501
The terms advise, 'Available to selected new and existing EE customers on a pay monthly handset plan or selected SIM only phone plans who also have an existing eligible BT Broadband Plan. Both accounts to be registered to the same account holder at the same address to benefit from a double data boost on their registered EE Plan'
If you are eligible, please call us on 150 and the team will be happy to help 🙂
Leanne.

I think the answers given to concerns about 1122 are too brief and flippant which is not reassuring at all

there is a big problem, the first 3 numbers are 112, the emergency number! with emergency numbers it still dials them with other numbers after for example calling 999123 would call 999

@vpn2025 : But you're not dialling them; you're texting them. Texts to 1122 are not sent to the emergency number.
