My wife has been with EE for less than 5 days and she has already had a warning she has used over 2 GB of date but if we add up the data used per app she has only used half a gig. Cannot get through in 150 so am asking here how to get this correct. Many thanks, William

My Pixel 6 phone is the same. Recently I have been suddenly downloading 3GB of data from EE. My app usage says it is in the MB range so it is 'operator data' that is doing it. Not a chance I have used it as I am mostly on WiFi and made no calls that would warrant that usage during the time it says I used it. Something very dodgy going on, maybe time to change provider.

To be fair I'm not sure it's an EE issue, it's a whole system failure with all networks. Some years back, networks use to charge premium rates for calling outside their network, though calls within the network were free. Only problem was that there was NO way a customer could tell what network they were phoning because the telephone number could not be identified with a network, a right old scam that was!
Oh, and they use to charge £2.50 for an itemised bill, imagine going into a supermarket and them charging you for a receipt!
Phone companies are all in it for profit, scamming the customer is all part of that deal - we just have to be as vigilant as possible to try and prevent us being fleeced.

Thanks for sharing, we will just have to keep our eye on it every month for the time being.

I've been having problems and posted previously. EE clock more data than my phone. However ee say this is normal and theirs is more accurate. I've just noticed this morning that I've used 200mb whilst on WiFi. After Google searches I've turned auto switching to mobile data off. On android you have to go to settings and allow developer options by tapping build ten times. Then find the developer options under system on mine, then there's an option to disable mobile data whilst on WiFi. Hope that helps every one.

OR, you can simply swipe down, and switch off, 'Mobile Data', switching on when you need it LOL Hope that helps everyone...

I have the same problem EE says I used 1GB in an afternoon which is nit possible. Phoned 150 and the basically said tough luck. They were soooo unhelpful and had no knowledge of how data is used.

Glad you think it's funny Stephen. Keep laughing at your own jokes as nobody affected by this is.
I've taken my EE mobile number affected by this issue away from EE, and guess what? No issue now whatsoever.
EE need to sort out this, I'll be moving my other phones away from EE if there is one sniff of this problem. They need to take it seriously as they seem to be taking it as seriously as you are.

Crikey, you're a bit tetchy! It's not a life/death situation. I've already highlighted my opinion on this issue on several threads, including page 1 of this one. EE has a turnover in excess of £2 Billion, a couple of guys whinging about their incompetence on this forum ain't going to make a squat worth of difference.
Your solution, to leave them, is a worthy course of action, which sadly won't make the EE issue go away, and the remainder of us will have such apathy that we can't be bothered over having 'our data' removed without permission.
I hope your new provider continues to meet your expectations.
My initial post on this thread... (I wasn't laughing at the start, but the futility of fixin' it to the man, touched me as humorous)!

Has anyone got to the bottom of this data issue, I swapped from O2 two months ago and both months now after 5 days my data has been rinsed, despite me not using my phone during the day and I have great WIFI at ome. Most of my data disappears during the night, ridiculous amounts too!!
Totally regretting coming over to EE!
