I use a pay monthly (30Gb per month) SIM card from EE in my motorhome router, no caller or texts, just data via SIM. The EE website is not much use telling me a) whether it will work OK in Germany, b) anything extra I need to pay when I get there and c) how to do this, it says text ROAMING to 150, but its just a SIM in the router !
TIA

Hello @Paul_Merrick ,
Welcome to the community,
You will still need to make sure that roaming is enabled on your account, so yes you need to text roaming or call 150 and they can make sure you have roaming on your account and can enable the roaming pass and also set a date when you are back here and cancel the roaming pass for you. You will also then receive a text. This is what I did when I when to Würzburg, Germany, recently. Enjoy your holiday!
You still need to pay for data when roaming, you can get a monthly roaming pass for £15, which you will have to cancel when you get back to the UK or there is a daily charge to enable roaming, here is the link:

@XRaySpeX , the OP is on a pay monthly, so I see it as contract.

@Schockwave : Just checking as 30GB is a PAYG pack size and many PAYG users mistakenly think they pay monthly.
