Data Gifting

I have been trying to gift data to my granddaughter for a few days now but keep getting a message "sorry we can't show this devices data right now. Please try again later"

I have not had a problem in previous months/years.  Is this a common technical issue?

Have you changed the plan since the last time you gifted data to this number?

I changed my plan in November but it includes Gifting which I was able to do in December.
