My mobile is 5G.
I have an external light using an app which requires to connect by wi-fi using 2.4GHz.
Please advise how can I change the mobile briefly in order to programme the floodlight?

@Prussian : 2.4 GHz WiFi is meant to be from a WiFi router.
You may be able to simulate this by turning on the Hotspot on your phone. That will set up a WiFi network from your phone.

Are you asking how to use your phone as a hotspot - in effect, a mobile router?

Hi @Prussian
Welcome to the EE Community.
Your mobile phone 5G and WIFI 2.4Ghz are two different technologies-
The 5G is in relation to mobile signal technology, eg 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G
2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are the frequency band options WIFI can connect through.
To programme your external light, usually you need to download an app that will control your light. It should ask you to go into your WIFI setting in your mobile phone and search for WIFI networks. You'll then see one for your light name and when you connect to it your mobile phone will automatically use the 2.4Ghz WIFI frequency.
Your light will have an instruction leaflet to follow with all the correct steps needed.

Ali,
Thanks for the advice.
My mobile has detected a network named TP-Link_2.4GHz_****** but do not know what the password is. The BT/EE router password does not work.
Further advice, please.

The pwd should be written on a label on the router or on a KeepMe card that came with it.
