Someone please help.
I spoke to an EE guide via the phone but they were not able to help me.
For the past 3 days, when I am on my mobile network (5g), apps such as Youtube and Google Maps are not working. However, If I switch on VPN, they seem to start working.
And they also work if I am connected to wifi!
I reset the network settings, reset phone, deleted apps and reinstalled, removed VPN completely etc and nothing.
Any ideas? Shall I just go to Apple? I think its becoming apparent that its a phone issue as I checked all the settings and everything is as they should be!

What are your parental settings on the EE app.
Also under settings -apps check the apps can be used on mobile data.

I’m afraid I checked all of that and can confirm I don’t have parental control and all apps have access permitted for mobile data.

Hi @itshusohere
Are you finding that this is happening in all areas when you are using 5G, or has it been a specific location?
Have you tried turning 5G off in the settings to see if it works over 4G?

Are other apps other than YouTube and Google Maps working as expected?
Have you tried to delete the apps and install them again?

It is a bit of a strange one if it is just specific apps and data is working generally.

A very strange one.
Nothing. For a moment we thought it worked, but it hadnt.
I am now back on call too EE, I think they are trying to connect me with Apple.
I have also completely erased my iPhone and still, no fix.

I hope Apple can get to the bottom of it for you @itshusohere.
It may also be worth having a look at the Google Support for Google Maps and YouTube to see if there is any assistance there.
