Hello, i recently installed a Huawei B535-232 routerin my motorhome and purchased and inserted EE 120 data only sim this works with my iphone and ipad and my partners samsung smart phone and tablet but i cannot get the chromebook to connect. The chromebook recognises the router but gives error message cannot find gateway or tells me to sign into the network which when i click on, i get the message that the gstatic .com is not a secure website and won't let me connect to it. Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi @larruu
Thanks for coming here.
Can you connect the Chromebook to any other WiFi network?
Can you access any other sites when the Chromebook is connected to the router?
Leanne 🙂

that. I'm sure i accessed google and facebook when i first tried connecting
to the internet through the huawei/ee set up but i tried so many different
solutions now I have totally bambozzled myself.

Thanks @larruu
Could you try forgetting the WiFi network and setting back up again, does this work for you?

router and gives the message "connected no internet". I have had in the
course of various attempts and through using google troubleshooter had "
can't find gateway" and also " sign in to network" and when i have
clicked on that message I then get a message saying gstatic.com website is
not secure , which if I persist with trying to connect to the connection
gets timed out. cheers Laurie.

Could you try moving the device around different parts of the motorhome please, @larruu? Has this happened in more than one location where you know there's a good mobile coverage?

without disconnecting the rooftop antenna leads, however the signal
strength is fine throughout the van between 3 and four bars. The problem is
not connecting the chromebook to the router, it is that when connected the
message displayed is "connected no internet " and sometimes " sign in to
network" all other devices connect immediately. If i go to diagnostics
the messages include "can't find gateway" and sometimes "captive portal
detected" regards Laurie Winter.

Is your Chromebook on its latest software version, @larruu? What manufacturer made it?
