Router SIM card and EE app

NickHo
Explorer

I have just started to live on a narrowboat and I needed a SIM card for the router. Got one from EE today. PAYG initially. My personal phone is on O2. When I log into the EE app to link to the SIM card it asks for my EE phone number to send a passcode to. Obviously though that won't come through on my O2 number.

So how can I access the app and register the SIM card, without using the EE number? Thank you!

@NickHo : You do use the EE mobile no. that the EE SIM has. Your router is capable of receiving texts. Just login to it & look for the SMS section.

You could ring customer services and explain what your problem is if you have got another mobile phone as a back up phone then use that as they could go through the way you do it. Hope this helps
