Register/activate pay as you go sim card

Recently bought a pay as you go SIM card for a Kuma wi-fi set up for  our caravan.  When checking , it simply said to insert card and switch on and it will automatically work.  (Others say different).  All the lights come on but the 4G light isn’t coming on showing WiFi is working.  Totally confused.  Can anyone assist as to whether we need to activate

Welcome to the Community, @Debs2909

If you haven't already, it's worth trying your SIM in a mobile and seeing if you can get online, as often this will help kick the connection into gear.

If you have no luck from there, I would recommend giving our team a call

When you purchase a SIM from a third party, there's a small but possible chance it may have entered hibernation during the time that this has been in their warehouse.

Our team will be able to double check everything and ensure you get up and running.

@Debs2909 : Is this router in the UK?

Do you have PAYG credit on the SIM?
