Random websites blocked

I have a dongle that I use at work and for some reason, very random websites ( definitely not spam websites) are blocked. I know it's the internet dongle blocking them because if I swap to my phone hotspot (not with EE), they work fine.
I've followed the 'unblocking' guidance found on here but it's not led anywhere (I don't think they offer this service anymore) so where do I go for support - other than ringing EE? I have disability needs and ringing is a problem for me so isn't really an option. I've used the chat function before but I can't seem to find it now.

OK, thanks @hellothesmartb

I think it's going to be best if you speak to our technical support team now. They'll be able to check everything from our side an run through some tests with you.

Hi @hellothesmartb

What is the message on the blocked sites. This will give you an idea of the issue.

Mostly this either your content lock or virus software.

Thanks

Hi @hellothesmartb

Have you tried a different browser and cleared your browser cache.

That error is normally a DNS issue. Try restarting your router.

Thanks

Yes, I clear my cache several times a day and tried different browsers; all standard things for a web developer to try. My router is a dongle, it restarts daily. It's not a DNS issue on the website side, it's only not working via the dongle. And there's more than one site doing it.

Are you able to try the dongle in a different device, @hellothesmartb? Just to see if you have the same issues with the same sites?

Chris

That's a good idea, I'll try it when I get back home.
Still doesn't help me at work though as I need it to work there.

Tried it at a different location and the same issue so it's definitely the dongle causing the issue and the not the websites.

Did you try the dongle in a different device, @hellothesmartb?

Chris

I did - different device and location.
