Hi @cropwalker461,

Do you see the same issue if you disconnect all other devices from your router when using the printer?

James

Hi James
The only devices connected are the laptop and the printer

Thanks @cropwalker461

Have you tried contacting the printer's manufacturer to see if they can offer any advice?

James

Uninstall, download firmware, software and drivers, reinstall. All done, no difference. It’s bizarre that it works perfectly on the old “slow” connection.

@cropwalker461    Is your Wi-Fi mini the white one ?   Can you post a picture of it ?   I have one of these so I’ll test mine with my printer.    This will not be to later tonight though.   Work does tend to get in the way.  Lol

Yes, the small white one. Not near it at the moment but assume it’s a
standard WiFi mini.

@cropwalker461   Hi.   I’ve just set this up and printed out a A4 page,  from hitting print to it being fully out of the printer it took 18 seconds.   All devices were about 1 foot from each other.

I would have done this sooner but it took me a few minutes to figure out it helps if paper is actually loaded in to the printer.   Lol.  What makes this worse is the fact I’m a maintenance manager for a print company.
School boy error that I’ll never live down.  😂😂😂

Must mean my signal is very poor.

@cropwalker461   That’s only your Wi-Fi signal this has nothing todo with the network connection or the speed of that network connection.    You could in theory remove the sim from the router and your printer will still work as it’s over Wi-Fi.   Your router is only acting as a bridge between your laptop and your printer.    Ie it’s only making a connection between the two devices via a third device.

So that’s your PC/laptop to your Wi-Fi mini and your Wi-Fi mini to your printer.

You could try changing the network channel on the mini.    If you login to the router as admin and click Settings>Advance you can change the channel from Auto to anything from 1 to 13.  If could just be the connection from the PC to the router having an issue.
