Not able to connect past a browser

I bought a mini router yesterday as a backup for my broadband which is currently off line, so that I can continue to work, but after switching the unit on and connecting, (is it normal for only the power light only to be showing?)

I can't connect to my place of work, through my vpn, I don't need the vpn for teams or my outlook but I can't seem to connect to them too, in fact both programs indicate that I have o internet connection, although browsers seem to work...

Am I missing something or, have I bought a duff product, if so I'd lkke my money back

Just for anyone else that happens to get the same problem…

My issue was caused by my dell laptop connected to me dell docking station, with my Ethernet cable still plugged in; my broadband had gone down but, my internal network was still active, so even though I was connected to my mobile router, the laptop was still trying to use the wired connection and I guess got confused when trying to connect through the vpn or teams. Pulled the Ethernet cable from the back of the docking station and everything worked as expected.

Hi @ShaunFox

Thanks for coming here.

Have you tried restarting the WiFi device?

Do you have a data add-on, plan or pack?

Leanne 🙂

Hi,

Yes, restarting, resetting all to no avail. It’s a payg sim with 100gb for a year.

Regards.

Shaun

Thanks @ShaunFox

Can you connect and browse other sites?

Do you have any other EE device, if so, does this have signal showing?

Leanne.

Hi,

There does not appear to be a problem with browsing sites, Fast.com shows I was pulling up to about 60Mbps so pretty reasonable. This is my only ee device.

Hi @ShaunFox,

If it's just the VPN you're having problems with, please contact your employers IT support team for help.

There may be some settings they need to tweak to work with a mobile data connection.
