My 4Gee wifi mini router has the blue internet light flashing, no connection

Hi,

My wifi mini suddenly won't connect to the internet. I can find the wifi on my phone, it connects ok, but then says underneath 'no internet connection'.

I can access the 192.168.1.1, but it says everything is ok, but the connection status is disconnected. When I click to connect, i get an unsuccessful messgae,

I can't check my data, howver I got a 12 month sim card, and it doesn't run out until June and there is loads of data left on it as I checked a couple of months ago when it was working and haven't used it since.

Any ideas?

Hi @hy9

Welcome to the community.

Is it a pay monthly SIM card or pay as you go that you're using in the router?
Chris

Hello, it is a PAYG, I bought a sim card with data on it last year, and it had been working fine.

Sounds like your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation or worse.

When did you last use it for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

Oh I see, well that's annoying. I bought a 12 month one with 50GB on knowing I wouldn't use more than that amount over the 12 months, so zero need to top up or buy anymore data until the 12 months ended......
