When I took out my EE Smart Router Broadband contract it came with a small EE mobile router. This I used when we went on holiday or to areas where my tablet wouldn't work. After a while the unit comes up with the message that I need to purchase more data. That's not a problem but I cannot find out how to top it up - can anyone point me in the right direction or do I need to purchase a new dongle from someone like Amazon

Mobile routers contain a SIM. All SIMs have a mobile no. Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status from a device connected to your mobile router by WiFi to see your data & credit status as well as its mobile no. at the top.

@Vennwood : Try using Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

Just a little confused by this. The router came as part of my broadband package which is separate from my mobile phone contract so how do I know it will top up my router? I use the router mainly for two tablets as our phones have enough data

I'm not talking about your mobile phone. You just need the mobile no. of the SIM in the router.

Ah - not sure what that is as there was no information with it. I still have the box so will see if I can find the number. Thanks
