Been reading the forums, but not found a solution so wondering if anyone has actually found a fix? We have 4gee home router 3, using with an omni antenna and deco mesh system. Since work was done on mast last year, our download speed plummeted. We weren't getting great speeds to start with 15mb when we moved in a year ago, dropping to around 6mb, then lucky to get 1 or 2mb. We have zero directional signal due to the landscape. Found an anomaly downstairs where we can get 15-25mb - great (well great compared to usual speeds).
Annoyingly, I think there has always been an issue with the router, but ee wouldn't send a replacement (have to go into a shop for repair, leaving me without Internet or calls). They wouldn't even allow me to buy one! Eventually I gave in and bought a refurbished on ebay, and it sorkx perfectly! I've also invested in an omni antenna so I don't have to balance the router on books to get best signal.
Anyway, I digress. Internet speed working well and even though is bounces around, is far more consistent and better speeds.
Downloaded battlefield on xbox, which I haven't played for ages due to poor speeds. Still unplayable, and from much research, it's because of the ping. It jumps around from around 30ms, to over 1000ms. I trued connected direct to router, rather than using deco, same issues.
Xbox tells me I have double nat, which I've tried to fix but can't seen to. Tried piggy backing on neighbours poor landline bb and it works perfectly, low ping etc, but obviously this isn't a long term solution.
So the short of it is, I'm paying £60 a month, had to replace my own router, but an antenna myself, and the Internet is still not fit for purpose. Thinking its something I'll have to put up with, or switch providers when out of contract, but have a vague hope there might be a fix 🤔
