SIM only pay monthly + Roam Abroad addon
Going to the United States on holiday

EE states: If your plan comes with MORE THAN 50GB of data per month, a fair use policy of 50GB will apply when roaming abroad.

So, what happens after you hit 50GB, do you suddenly get zero data?
or does the speed get throttled, significantly?

so the cap is 50GB per month when using the Roam Abroad Pass addon,

and after 50GB is it zero? or does it reduce the speed?

Technicaly it's stops giving you any further Data Connection after 50Gb of use but I've heard of reports where it may continue depending on which Country you are in.

My advise would be to when your Data Roaming to set your Max Spend Cap to zero or at least a comfortable level that's affordable, ie, £5, £10 etc. as Data Roaming charges can be a bit of shock to the system on any Network.

Hi @escocia1,

Once you have used your allowance you'll be able to purchase a data add-on. When you switch your device on abroad, we'll send you a text message with full details on how to purchase a data add-on.

I have read the fair use policy and it only applies to EU and Switzerland. There is no mention of fair use if using in the USA. I have also checked the charges in the USA and it says you can use your data for free, again no mention of fair use.
