EE totally unable to unlock mini wifi parental controls

EE incapable of unlocking Mini Wifi. Spent two hours on the phone with two different agents yesterday and they were unable to help. After nearly an hour, the first agent said it was all sorted and I'd shortly get an email. It wasn't and I didn't.
The other tried THREE times with credit cards which took  more than an hour and finally gave up saying it couldn't be done. Have also tried with my credit card online and it says did not work please try again, over and over.
The agents were both very pleasant and polite but the poor things were totally exasperated.
Shocking service EE

Yes, this can currently only be done by visiting a shop. (I do hope there will be no hard sell)

I see, thank you @IvyL

I am very sorry the team have been unable to take the payment to remove the content lock on your account when you called, please let me know how you get on after visiting the store.

Leanne.

Why can this be done only visiting a shop. I do not wish to do that as its a inconvenience completely.  Over the phone doesn't eork or online.  I should besble to access what I like when I like.   What an be done.   Was told my bank card cannot be used

@Eliza123   You need to use a credit card because you can only have a credit card if your 18+  other than this you go to a EE store with in dare photo ID.   Content lock is there to stop children from accessing inappropriate material and just saying your over 18 isn’t good enough as anyone can give a child a SIM card.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
