I got a HH20C router last week, couldn't connect to the wifi out of the box so hard-reset.. Still didn't work
I ended up having to use a wire utp connection to reset the wifi passwords which didn't actually work until I manually rebooted the device. Today I received a replacement HH20C and it's the same issues!!!
Are these just nasty cheap devices with customised firmware that EE hasn't bothered testing or am I just unlucky (twice)?
For now, I'm using the device with wifi off and my separate AP's handling that, but really??

I am very sorry to hear this has happened with the replacement router.
I would advise contacting our tech guides again letting them know and to get this fully looked into. The team will let you know what is needed to get this sorted.

no your not alone ! I had one last year - didn't work- had replacement- still completely unusable. EE tech have no idea. the best they could do for me is exit contract with no early ££ !! don't use EE
