I've been sticking with my old 2017 model ee modem which has served us well, however we're now paying above rate and need to switch to a modern contract.
I'm up in one of the northern isles of Shetland and signal is spotty but MBB is still the best option, it means we are reliant on external antenna to get a usable household signal, that's currently done through the two SMA connectors on the back of our router. At the time it used to be a large part of EEs advertising for rural areas was the availability of external antennas with their devices but it seems as if it's no longer part of the sell. Could anybody confirm if any of their current line up (Smart 4G Hub 2, Smart 5G Hub, 5G WiFi, 4G WiFi) have SMA or any other form of external antenna ability?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @SlaterSpace
I can only find support for external antennae for the 4G hub that you have. If you're happy with your current set-up, you could just change to a SIM only plan to try and get the monthly cost down.
