Cannot unlock 4G mini WiFi

Hi 

 

Can anyone help me 

 

I have got the SIM unlock code from EE for my Alcatel EE71 mini WiFi

 

But after trying with many different SIM cards every time I enter code it say unsuccessful and the counter of tries left does no change

 

The code has been checked by Alcatel but still does not work 

 

I have seen on this forum that this is a known problem 

 

Can someone assist as I been trying to do this for 3 days now and still no joy

@Chickenjohn   You mean the device unlock code surly as a sim unlock code is something else and is only 4 digits longs.   

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
Yes i mean the SIM network unlock code

Sim Lock Code as EE call it

So Alcatel tell me EE can only unlock my device as it's your firmware

I am very sorry to hear that you are having difficulties unlocking your device.
 
Please note that, we sell our devices unlocked, and the Network Operators lock the devices in a specific Network for customer retention.
 
In this case, the whole Firmware is owned and maintained by EE, and is company proprietary information.
 
This is an action only the seller is able to perform and we advise to request assistance to EE again, and if necessary forward our official answer to them.
 
The device might need to be sent in for repairs through EE, to have the Firmware re-installed on it.
 
I am truly sorry for any discomfort you are going through, we remain at your disposal if you need further information.

Hey did you ever fix this I’ve been trying for a week and I have the exact same issue with the attempts not going down etc

yes but its a software bug and there support are not trained eenough to know how to fix it
