Using 5G EE Router 2021 with a Different Network

Hello,

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether EE’s own branded 5G 2021 Router is compatible with other Network Sim Cards? I’m plagued with issues (due to Technical limitations on EE’s Network) and wanted to know if I can make use of the Router after my contract is up. I know it is unlocked after 6 months but the technical team couldn’t tell me if it works with other Simcards. Has anyone had any experience with this?

How do you know it is unlocked after 6 months? If it locked to EE you are allowed to get it unlocked after 6 months but it doesn't auto happen.

Is it unlocked? When did you buy it? You could test it by getting a free PAYG SIM from another network, say O2.
