Can't Log Into EE 5G Modem after reset using passowrd on base sticker

Hi, I have reset my EE 5G Modem (the big white one that looks like an EE branded Huawe. It seemed to reset correctly, but I could not log into the modem itself. I can use the default password from the stick on the base, but the router password on the sticker doesn't work.  I tried typing admin in, too, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Thanks, David

Copied and pasted the password then unclicked hide to check it was correct. It was. I manually typed the same password. It worked. Every day is a school day. Thanks guys.

@Fergy007 : What do you mean by "default password from the sticker on the base" as opposed to " router password on the sticker"? What's the diff? Isn't 1 the router admin login pwd & the other the WiFi pwd for connecting devices to it?

Basically, I reset the router. I can connect to the internet using the Wifi network name as per the sticker as well as the password below. However, when I type in 192.168.1.1 and see the basic EE stuff but click login it asks for a password. The password doesn't work. I tried both the "Login password" and the "Router password" from the sticker. Does that make sense?

Hi @Fergy007

Welcome to the community.

Could you try the steps below please?

Go to Connection Manager or type 192.168.1.1 into your browser

Select Settings

Log in - the default username and password is:

  • username: admin
  • password: admin

Do these details work for you?

Leanne.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. It comes up with a EE branded webpage with no settings option. There is a login option which asks for password but the passwords on the sticker don’t work nor does “admin”.

Just as a trial, try the "Log in to read texts Click here". It will also take you into router.
