I'm having the exact same issue, one of my friends have the same issue and he said it was something to with how EE are routing their broadband now.. So I think theyve screwed something up

I rang them and they said they don't know what ping or latency mean, they only deal with speed outbound and inbound lmao? so is there anyone that can actually resolve this, it's clearly an issue with EE routing, If i connect via a vpn the latency to london goes from 80 to 30.....

just so everyone else is aware and doesnt waste there time with this issue, i spoke to one of the guys in level 2 techs, there aware of the issue as a few people have reported it but they won't do anything about it, it's to do with the larger EE routing.

I had this exact issue in June for 2 weeks. Constantly reported that there was an issue with the network with EE telling me there wasn't. After a callback and me doing a week of speeds tests they admitted that there was an issue and fixed the problem.
Now one month later and after "essential maintenence" on the network yesterday it's back to incredibly high ping again.
Every time they do essential maintenence on the network it makes it worse. Incredible.
