Have just started using 4gee mini wifi and i am trying to find out how to see what credit i have left and how to top up.  I have been able to connect to the internet . i have navigated to the gateway address and have registered at the my ee link, but adding a device doesn't seem to work - i type in the number of the sim and it returns this -

To finish setting up your account:

  • Grab your 4GEE WiFi device
  • Connect it to your tablet, phone or laptop
  • Log in and continue

so i dont really know what this means since i have connected my device via my laptop to the internet

when i return to the gateway page and click on
Check how much data you have left or buy a data add-on. i get page forbidden

please i really need to know that i can top up credit and know how much data i have left

MyEE doesn't work for registering PAYG MBB devices or at least those with data SIMs. It stops at telling you to connect your device & login to it, but when you've done as instructed it doesn't have anywhere for you to say you've done it.

You may continue using your device but you just can't register it to MyEE.

  1. Use Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no.
  2. Go to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status from the device will tell you your usage.
  3. Go to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from the device to buy add-ons.

These should still work.

Firstly am not an expert.

Loaded a webpage.

Navigated to the Settings option using the three vertical dots on top right side of webpage.

Then accessed Privacy and security.

I had to change my Privacy and security settings on Chrome and disabled/ deselected the Always use secure connections, i.e., it's now grey. Not bright blue when it was enabled.

Then entered 192.168.1.1 into my internet browser. Did have to input password, for the mini wifi device, which is located on the label, on the inside of the device cover.

Then was able to check data balance remaining on my 4gee mini wifi device, etc.

PS After inputting 192.168.1.1 as per the handy Quick Start guide, which accompanied the mini wifi device, had gotten a forbidden message on one phone and not another so had compared internet settings.
