Any range on the same subnet will do. Say 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1. 200.

Hi @stepth21

Welcome to the community.

Could you check your postcode on our network status checker please? There may be some maintenance works in your area that's causing this.

Pushing a pin into a hole in the device is a hard reset.

Hi @stepth21 ,

In network engineering and computer engineering, a hard reset refers to cutting all power to a device such as by fully turning it off or pulling the power cables.

If you have the device powered and push a hidden button with a pin, this typically performs a factory reset which is very different from a hard reset.

In particular, all your configurations are typically lost and reset to the factory defaults. This can be a problem if you've not recorded the legacy configurations so I recommend to check before you perform a factory reset (e.g. that the factory passwords are known and legible on the labels).

If the router has a network port, that's usually the best way to restore access. If not, you should check if you can still connect to the router by WiFi and check an IP address is obtained by DHCP. If so, the gateway IP is your router IP. If no IP address is assigned, a factory reset is good but remember to have the device powered and leave a sufficient amount of time.

  • A hard reset is a factory reset & brings all settings back to their defaults.
  • Switching OFF/ON or pulling the power cables just causes a reboot where all settings are unchanged.

I have pushed a pin into the device and still no access to Internet.

I did a status checker and no known issues

Do you have any data for it?

What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim (it is free)?
