My name is Gary Tapp and I’m getting in touch on behalf of Live Life to the Max, a fundraising campaign supporting Cancer Research UK that began in 2014 with our friend Max White.
Since then, approximately £67,000 has been raised for Cancer Research UK in Max’s name.
In 2027, I’ll be undertaking our most ambitious challenge yet — The Mull Expedition, a multi-discipline endurance expedition across the Isle of Mull involving long-distance hiking, kayaking, wild camping and the summit of Ben More.
I’m approaching EE because connectivity will play an important role throughout the expedition.
From communication with my support team and safety considerations in remote areas, to documenting the expedition and sharing the journey with supporters as we raise money for Cancer Research UK, there is a genuine connection between what we’re attempting and what EE does.
Rather than approaching EE for a particular piece of equipment, I’d like to ask whether you would consider becoming an official supporting partner of The Mull Expedition 2027.
That support could take several forms — connectivity or technology support, financial sponsorship, fundraising amplification, colleague involvement, or another form of partnership that EE feels would work.
In return, we would be proud to recognise EE as an official expedition partner throughout the campaign, including appropriate branding, social media content, expedition coverage and our wider fundraising activity.
I’ve attached our expedition dossier, which explains Max’s story, what Live Life to the Max has achieved and what we are setting out to accomplish on Mull.
This is ultimately about one thing: using an extraordinary challenge to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK in memory of our friend.
I would be extremely grateful if you could take a look at the dossier and, if appropriate, pass it to the person responsible for partnerships, sponsorship or community investment within EE.
