Hi, I’m off to Canada soon for 10 days. I’m a pay monthly customer and would mainly use data on my phone. This maybe a stupid question to ask, but, if I connect to WiFi over there would I be charged roaming costs?

@R6Aly : No, while you are connected to WiFi hotspots you're not using the mobile network, you're not roaming and won't be charged by EE but could be by the hotspot operators.
You can't make mobile calls & texts that way. If you intend to make any you should text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.
