Found AirPods

Impaler

I have found a set of Apple AirPods (well the Dog did) I have tried using the find my app, have contacted Apple and EE and various other suggestions online to try and locate the owner but nothing has worked. very disappointed that Apple & EE are totally disinterested even though I have found snd given them a serial number and the name of an EE shop that is linked to the AirPods. There is a part of an email address but the provider is missing. The AirPods were found on a river path in Northwich, Cheshire. The pods also are named as ellesairpods.

It appears both Apple and EE think the solution is for the owner to purchase another set of AirPods to replace a perfectly functional set of AirPods that someone could have saved for or been given as a present. I don't want them to give me any personal details but given that the AirPods are linked to an EE account and were on AppleCare (which has now expired) you would think they could contact the owner and advise them where to collect them from?

@Impaler  What’s it got to do with EE ?    No EE shop will be linked to AirPods.  The AirPods are linked to a users Apple account and that it.    If I look at my AirPods there is no way would know they got purchased from EE or anywhere else.   (they where EE purchased)   That’s looking at them or via Find my.     So where are you seeing his information?    And it’s nothing to do with Apple as they are not a company that deals with lost items and returning to the owner, just like EE.
