Hey all
I know that if anyone has a M2 SSD drive in their old PS5 that it can be taken out and it is compatible with the PS5 Pro. One question I am not sure about if when installed in the new PS5 Pro it will need to be reformatted or would just slot back in with the same games on it? Before I take it out of my old PS5 I was going to copy across the whole COD Black Ops 6 which is huge as think it will be quicker doing this than downloading it again. Or would the transfer between consoles do it? What is the best way? Cheers for any guidance!!

@risingaboveit68 you’ll be better off asking on a Sony forum rather than an EE network forum.

Just slot in the pro with the games on. Recommending doing it before you even setup. All your games from that drive will show up on the pro.

Cheers for that and the new PS5 Pro won’t force me to format the drive thus wiping it clean?

No. Was recommended on digital foundry to do it before setup and all will be there once you’ve logged in with your account.
