Playstation 5 - Launch Post - Social.png

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Find out more about Add To Plan >

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?

When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.

Am I eligible?

You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

Can I buy over the phone?

No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

How do I know my order has been successful?

When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.

You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?

Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

Will you be selling accessories or games?

Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

How will I find out about my delivery details?

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Are you excited about getting your hands on one?

Tell us what games you are looking forward to playing in the comments by tapping “Reply” below.

@dearlyphoto No it's not, most retailers do not specify in stock when they don't actually have said stock.

They also wouldn't use the terms "We've got more on the way soon" and "when they're back in stock" to anyone that would suggest they have stock and it's now sold out, not that they're waiting for the stock to arrive at some point for the people who have just purchased the item.

As for the delivery date, I have mentioned several times now, I am not bothered as long as it's the 15th or before. But a lot of people are worrying now due to the absolute silence from EE.

any news on a 3rd wave? I’ve “allegedly” got one from EE but desperate for another for a Xmas gift.

Let's be completely honest about this. We are all EE customers. Most of us have ordered a PS5 from them regardless of contract and if you haven't why are you here because that feels like you would only be here to stir things up.

Can we stop all this pathetic squabbling as it's not helping anything. I think we can all agree that ALL we want from EE is transparency!!!

@Gdownes Actually, that's *exactly* what happens. I know this because I work in the industry and deal with supply chain/logistic issues constantly.

You might not like it, but that is exactly how many major online retailers operate. Again, it's just a fact.

I'm not stoutly defending EE - I am defending the individual staff that have to put up with the ridiculous amount of live chatting and calls from those in this thread.

EE have clearly made a mistake, as I said previously and they've already acknowledged regarding the FAQ. That absolutely doesn't mean they have to honour anything though. They might, and that would be nice, but they're under no obligation to.

As I said, no one has any right to believe they have a PS5 from EE until they receive delivery of it. That is when the contract of sale is formed.

Yes, I did skim the terms before completing checkout.

@dearlyphoto if you don't like the thread or the people in it LEAVE otherwise it's coming across like you are only here to argue which is against the forum policy.

The longer this goes on without a EE stepping in is making them look worse .

we won’t  stop  pestering there agents ! There management can stop this buy giving us a true update .

they sold it as in stock “quote”

in stock

phrase of stock

  1. (of goods) available for immediate sale in a shop.

they had people commit to something thinking they had it to ship to them which stopped them trying other retail outlets where they could of had it by now in there hands , it was misold in a way, with the terms they channged  after ordering ect it’s a very poor show from EE almost feeling like a cover up .

this happened Friday and not a single official comment on the whole thing

EE hang your head in shame .

if anyone had one shipped then we would know about it via , Twitter here or the 40k comments on hotdeals ps5 thread

@thefraggle79 No, again, I'm merely pointing out facts and trying to restore some perspective to the thread which was quite heated earlier with folk going as far as threatening 'legal action' (yes, that's not a joke) against EE.

If you want to throw about the forum rules (ironic, give you've been here 3 days), perhaps you should review the use of all caps (generally indicates shouting) and telling people to leave the forum (disrespectful).

🙄

You lot need to relax, its not that deep.

For some here its not even about the console...you just want to win.
