**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions
You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.
Find out more about Add To Plan >

That's a great tip. If I haven't had some sort of solid info by Friday about the EE order I will buy one from a scalper. The only benefit that this might have is when the EE one turns up I will either let it go to someone who desperately wants one for the retail price I had paid Or will give it to someone with terminal children or a hospice.
On the accessories note, I have ended up with 3 controllers on their way to me. One I already have which sadly I have been using with retropie and it feels wonderful. I've got spiderman ultimate edition and COD waiting for the console to arrive.

For anyone who is interested in my sim only experience I posted last night. I received my upgrade today and called 0800 to process the PS5. I was told everything had gone through and that I would receive a PS5 by 15/12. No stock at the moment but as soon as received they will be sent out. They also sent me the confirmation with order number which stated:
Thank you for placing an order for Add to Plan on your account. We have now processed your order and you can expect to receive your PlayStation 5 before 15th December 2020. We’ll keep you updated by text message on the progress of your order.

Hate to say it but that means nothing. So many messages on here that say thing and even more messages on here that contradict it that have come direct from EE too.
It is what it is.
I think the biggest issue that people have is that EE are leaving people in limbo and the people who have been following this thread honestly believe EE cant be trusted with the messages that are coming from either department.

@karlton81 I'm in the exact same boat and feel the exact same way. While I may have not got stock elsewhere, I most certainly would have tried John Lewis etc.
Please can you let me know what they say tomorrow if we don't hear anything today?

Game could have sold you a console with confirmed delivery by the 10th. I didn't buy one from them as I wanted it before the 10th. I believe that's called sods law......

@mwebber7 I sure will mate.
What confuses me even more is how some Sim Only customers appear to have theirs put through. The whole process and lack of communication from EE is actually a joke.

Worth noting that BT and EE are part of the same group and BT were selling consoles well into the afternoon on 19/11. They might have different stock allocations but I know for a fact that even though you had to be BT broadband customer there was a workaround being used to buy as a non-customer. These workaround orders were cancelled after additional checks.
I suppose the more orders cancelled for ineligible customers means more PS5s to go round. I’m staying optimistic that we will have the consoles by 15/12.

They are processing sim-only orders manually by a more senior team (this is one of the few bits of info that EE have remained consistent on telling everyone), and making the decisions on a case by case basis.
Who knows what they are taking into account, but all you can really do is call up and hope. I think its perfectly reasonable that they are trying to get you onto a "normal" contract - this isn't a marketing ploy, but them trying to find some way to remedy your situation.
As someone who kept trying to get one from other retailer on launch day, trust me, it was borderline impossible unless you had a bot. Amazon's stock was sold within 10 seconds.

@karlton81The fact the order went through clearly means they have stock in place for your order. Whether that's now or before the 15th. Cancelling sim only orders that went through would only damage EE at this point. With lots of calls and unhappy customers who many will leave at the end of their current contract.
I upgraded to sim only recently as didn't need a new phone just yet but planned to get one with EE next year. Currys made the news (negatively) when they started cancelling orders and then they stopped and allowed the orders to go through. Will be a strange decision if EE cancels them as I'm really not sure what they gain by doing so.

Still no new emails from EE?
