**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

@thefraggle79 exactly, why do people seem so certain that their opinion is correct? The reason there’s 61 pages of this forum is because no one knows hahah

@Wattsy The problem I found with that site is notifications come through and by the time you get the notification all stock is gone.

While we're on the subject of other places to buy a PS5 from.
If anyone does cave into scalpers on ebay - which I would advise against - please be sure to get their original purchasing receipt, as without this your warranty becomes void.
Sony have been pretty generous by adding a 1year warranty onto all the consoles - there's no point spending an extra £250 for a console and it breaking in three months time!

This guy on twitter is from what I have seen the fastest way of finding out about accessories and consoles. Genuinely spot on.

@MikeD_89 They have to give the 1 year by law in the UK. What would be best, baring in mind all the problems the console has had reported, is extending to two years. If anyone manages to get one from John Lewis they are giving 2 years as standard.

However, without the receipt, it still can be easily voided 🙂
If I was heading to eBay, which I really don't want to do, I would only buy from a seller willing to part with the receipt.

Just off the phone to the 0800 number a basically as many have said they're saying that if you have a Sim Only contract you're not eligible.
I changed to my Sim Only about 5/6 weeks ago after being with EE on a phone contract from when they were Orange/T-moble but that doesn't count for anything.
They even tried to get me to spend more money by upgrading my phone contract which is a complete cheek as far as i'm concerned.
I then asked to speak to the manager a guy called Craig who said to me that a decision on Sim Only hadn't fully been made yet, he said it was an error that the orders got through and they were at a "higher level" deciding whether they're going to honour them or not and whether they can get the stock. He said once a decision had been made they'd let customers know, hopefully within the next 24 hours.
Now he could have been saying that just to get me off the phone, but i'll be calling back tomorrow if i haven't heard anything.
As far as i'm concerned it's a complete shambles, If the EE policy is that you can't get a PS5 on Sim Only that's fine, but you should let people know from the start and not be accepting orders. If i'd have known this from the start i would have tried to source the PS5 for xmas elsewhere, but because the order was accepted i didn't, which now leaves me stuck as they're sold out everywhere which i'm fuming about.
They need to be honouring every order that they accepted and get them out before xmas, they're a huge company and yes it may have been a mistake but they need to correct it and can't just wrong people like that!
