Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Scan have been very transparent to date about their PS5 stock levels and dates. They have released the following on their site:

 

“09/12/20 - Today we have been given the devastating news from Sony that they have experienced further delays within the logistics chain. This has resulted in both of the expected shipment WAVES being affected, with WAVE 3 now being sometime in January 2021. WAVE 2 is arriving at Scan today but has significantly less stock that originally expected. Furthermore, we will not be receiving any more of the Digital edition this year. Although these circumstances are completely out of Scans control, and will affect many other retailers too, we wish to sincerely apologise to all of the customers who placed a pre-order with us with the faith of receiving it in time for the Christmas period. We have sent out an email to all affected customers offering the choice to keep their pre-order and wait for the stock to arrive or to receive a full refund. As yet we do not know how much stock will arrive in WAVE 3 so cannot guarantee that pre-orders will be fulfilled in January. We are working with Sony to confirm these numbers as soon as possible.”

Obviously the concerning thing is this likely affects all retailers yet EE haven’t been upfront about any of their delivery process. So I’m really not holding out any hope for my PS+ bundle this year...

It will be more stock of ps5 available until the end of the year?
I registered my interest in November after the realise date and I didn't received any notification about the possibility to order again on 3rd of december

At the min playstation dont have the digital version in production and halted it due to the demand of the disc version.

To be honest this could be that particular retailer well oversold its allocation because there is no news anywhere that Sony haven’t been able to get the consoles out or that there is any delay. Also EE surely have all the stock to fulfil all orders otherwise they would have made a very big mistake in sending out 3rd of December orders before fulfilling all of the 19th orders first. Surely they can’t be that stupid!

All us 19th customers that got ps+ and extra controller when the first wave of consoles only went out got told our console would be held for us intill the missing items came in it yet now ee have no stock. So wheres our held console?

Stock is coming our way ps+ peeps. I have every faith after today speaking to a manager who wanted answers for me as I’ve been fobbed off so many times she told me we defiantly have got your stock now in warehouse. Obvs needs picker and sent out and if that’s the 15th then so be it🙌🏻

I also ordered Disk edition with controller and membership on the 2nd wave. I received  and email saying order being processed &  My £10 was taken 2 days back.

So I ordered the 19th like everyone else however I received an email on the 21st saying the order had been cancelled.

 

Not a peep from EE from then until today, delivery comes at 09.30 (I think it's for the wife and leave it in front hall) Wife gets in from work and brings it into lounge , opens it and pulls out a PS5. Apparently she got an text from DPD first thing this morning saying to expect delivery.

 

Contacted EE who said they could see the order was initially cancelled due to a payment error but that they reinstated it !

 

I'm not complaining but what an odd way to do business haha
