Hi, so recently I applied for a phone contract (24 months) and I was accepted for it. Whilst applying I tried to add a console to my plan because I heard that was one of the ways I could do it. I have received my phone and it works brilliantly. When i go to My EE to shop, I click on one of the PS5 bundles to add to my plan and this is what it tells me.
"Want to add to your mobile bill? You’re not eligible at the moment." But it also says right at the bottom "New pay monthly phone customers are eligible to add the bundle after 1 month".
Does this mean 1 month after the date I applied for my pay as you go monthly phone or 1 month after my bill is prepared? Thanks in advance.

@Shah951 Are you a PAYG customers or a contract customer? You state
“Does this mean 1 month after the date I applied for my pay as you go monthly phone or 1 month after my bill is prepared?”
If it’s a contract it’s one month after you got the device. If your a PAYG customer you can not purchase from the add to plan as your not billed on PAYG.

Contract customer, would it be possible for me to ring 150 and ask them to check beforehand if I could be eligible next month, as in to do a precheck on my credit. Because I dont want to wait a month just to get denied.

Customer services wouldn't have any way to check this ahead of time im afraid.
It is an automated system and the Guides have no insight into an individual's suitability or eligibility beyond the system telling them "Yes" or "No" at that moment in time after the first month has been accounted for.
They may speculate and say "oh you should be able to" but ultimately this is not a guarantee as it is not their decision.
As an existing customer it is now not necessarily to do with your credit, and no additional credit checks are run from this point (unless signing up for a Finance product). It is all based on the initial credit check plus your ongoing payment history and relationship with EE.
