hi, everyone knows me as Alistair and that is name is on my account, but my actual full name is Alexander, at the moment I can't go EE store if id check is needed as on my passport says Alexander and my account says Alistair. what proof of id is needed to make the change, I thought it would be a case of logging onto my account and change my account name, but no edit button next to account details. don't need to change bank details etc just account name

You're not able to change the registered name to your legal name through your online account.
To update your account name, a valid document such as your passport showing your legal name would be needed. As you're unable to visit an EE store, the best option is to give our team a call. They will be able to guide you through the process and help further.
